1. Introduction & Overview

Welcome to Buyers. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency regarding how your data is collected, used, and protected.

Buyers is a dedicated, location-based Business-to-Business (B2B) trade discovery platform for the mobile phone trading market. The platform allows verified mobile retail shop owners/dealers ("Buyers") to publish structured buying requirements (RFQs) for mobile phones, and enables local suppliers, wholesalers, and distributors ("Sellers") to discover nearby demands and establish direct contact.

Important Note: Buyers is not an e-commerce marketplace, not an online shopping app, and does not process payments. All financial settlements, phone grading, and physical handovers occur offline between independent traders at their physical store counters.

2. Platform Architecture: Two Distinct User Experiences

To protect business privacy and minimize data collection, Buyers operates under two separate models:

1. Buyers (Registered Retailers): - Mobile shop owners who want to post buying requirements must create an account. - Verification is completed via mobile phone number OTP (One-Time Password). - Buyers maintain a business storefront profile and pin their shop location on the map.

2. Sellers (Non-Registered Suppliers): - Suppliers and dealers who want to discover local buyer requirements do NOT create an account. - No registration, no login, no profile submission, and no inventory listings are required. - Sellers simply browse active demands near their current device location.

3. Information We Collect

We only collect the minimum information strictly necessary to provide the platform's core matching services:

A. Information Provided by Registered Buyers:

  • Mobile Phone Number: Collected and verified via secure SMS OTP. It serves as your unique login identifier and is displayed to verified sellers so they can contact your shop regarding your posted phone requirements.
  • Shop & Business Details: Registered Business / Shop Name, Proprietor / Owner Full Name, Storefront Address, City, District, State, and Pincode.
  • Physical Shop GPS Pin: Latitude and longitude coordinates pinpointed by the buyer on Google Maps so local suppliers can visit the store counter or calculate trade delivery distances.
  • GSTIN (Optional): Business Tax ID provided voluntarily for B2B wholesale trust verification.
  • Requirement Postings: Phone brand, model name, storage, color, condition (New, Used, Open Box), target buying price, quantity, and custom trade notes.

    • B. Information Collected from Sellers (Non-Registered):

  • Foreground Device Location: With your explicit permission, we temporarily access your device’s GPS location to calculate distance (in kilometers) to nearby buyer shops and sort the requirement feed.
  • Privacy Guarantee: Seller location is calculated in real time and is never saved, tracked, or stored on our servers.

    • C. Automatically Collected Technical & Diagnostic Data:

  • Device Information: Device model, operating system version, screen resolution, IP address, and network state.
  • Advertising Identifiers: Android Advertising ID (AAID) and Apple Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA), collected by Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) for ad serving and anti-fraud telemetry.
  • Crash Reports & Performance Logs: Technical diagnostics used to maintain app stability and resolve bugs.

    • 4. Location Information Policy (Strict Foreground Disclosure)

    Prominent Location Disclosure (Google Play & Apple Compliant):

    Buyers collects and processes location data (GPS coordinates) exclusively for essential platform features:
  • For Buyers: To record the exact geographic pin of your physical retail storefront so suppliers can deliver stock to your counter.
  • For Sellers: To measure distance to local buyers and present the most relevant nearby demands first.
  • ZERO BACKGROUND TRACKING: Location data is accessed strictly while the application is in active, foreground use. We NEVER track, monitor, or access your device location when the app is minimized, closed, or running in the background.

    • 5. How We Use Your Information

    We process user data solely for legitimate business operations: 1. Facilitating B2B Connections: Displaying your shop's phone requirements and contact details to prospective suppliers. 2. Account Security & Verification: Authenticating phone numbers via OTP and preventing unauthorized account takeover. 3. Proximity Matching: Calculating distances between retail shops and nearby mobile dealers. 4. Auto-Expiry & Quality Control: Automatically removing fulfilled or expired requirements to prevent stale listings. 5. Fraud & Abuse Prevention: Detecting and blocking spam, fake requirements, or abusive accounts. 6. Advertisements: Displaying relevant banner and native advertisements via Google AdMob to keep the service free for retailers.

    We do NOT sell, rent, lease, or monetize your personal or business data to third-party data brokers or marketing agencies.

    6. Third-Party Services & SDK Disclosures

    We integrate trusted, industry-standard third-party SDKs that operate under their own privacy standards:

    1. Google Firebase Authentication (Google LLC): - Purpose: SMS OTP verification and session token authentication. - Privacy Policy: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy

    2. Google Mobile Ads / AdMob (Google LLC): - Purpose: Displaying in-app banner and native ads, frequency capping, and ad fraud detection. - Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads

    3. Google Maps Platform & Places API (Google LLC): - Purpose: Reverse geocoding, store address auto-fill, and interactive map pin placement. - Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

    7. Advertising & Personalization Controls (Google AdMob)

    Our app displays advertisements powered by Google AdMob. Google may use device advertising identifiers (AAID/IDFA) to deliver personalized ads.

    How to Opt Out of Personalized Ads:
  • On Android Devices: Open device Settings > Google > Ads > Reset or Delete Advertising ID.
  • On iOS Devices: Open device Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking and disable "Allow Apps to Request to Track".

    • 8. Account Deletion & Data Retention Policy

    (Fully compliant with Google Play Data Safety & Apple App Store Review Guideline 5.1.1(v))

    Any registered Buyer has the absolute right to permanently delete their account and wipe all stored personal and business data at any time.

    Method 1: Immediate In-App Deletion (Recommended)

    1. Open the Buyers App. 2. Go to the Shop Profile (Account) tab. 3. Scroll to the bottom of the page. 4. Tap the red button: "Delete Account". 5. Read the warning prompt and confirm "Yes, Delete My Account".

    Result: Your account, authentication credentials, shop profile, and all active/expired requirements are permanently and immediately purged from our production database.

    Method 2: Web or Email Deletion Request (Without App Installed)

    If you have uninstalled the app or lost access to your device, you can submit an account deletion request via email:

  • Required Details: Your registered 10-digit mobile number and registered shop name.
  • Timeline: We will verify account ownership and permanently purge your data within 48 to 72 hours, sending a final confirmation email.

    • What Data is Purged vs. Retained:

  • Permanently Erased: Mobile phone number, owner name, business name, address, GSTIN, GPS coordinates, and all requirement postings.
  • Retained Records: No personal data is retained. Only non-identifiable system transaction logs may be retained for up to 90 days if strictly mandated by applicable statutory tax or financial audit laws in India.

    • 9. Data Security & Storage

  • Data Encryption: All communications between the mobile application and our servers are encrypted using modern Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.3 / HTTPS).
  • Access Restrictions: Access to our database is strictly limited to authorized system services and secured by authenticated tokens.
  • Storage Location: Data is stored in secure, cloud-hosted data centers adhering to international security standards (ISO 27001 / SOC 2).

    • 10. Children's Privacy (COPPA & IT Rules Compliance)

    The Buyers application is strictly a commercial Business-to-Business (B2B) trade platform intended exclusively for adult business owners and mobile dealers aged 18 years and older. We do not knowingly solicit or collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If we become aware that a minor has submitted personal data, we will immediately delete the data from our systems.

    11. User Rights (Under DPDP Act 2023)

    Under applicable data protection legislation, you possess the following rights:
  • Right to Access: View all your profile and requirement data in the app at any time.
  • Right to Rectification: Update or edit your storefront address, contact details, or GPS pin directly in your profile settings.
  • Right to Erasure: Permanently delete your account and all associated data.
  • Right to Withdraw Consent: Disable device location permissions at any time through your phone’s operating system settings.
